The weekend is here
With there being a few big games on our screens this weekend, we have a lot to look forward to. We have the SEC Championship game where the might of LSU go up against Georgia. Promises to be a good game but I can’t see that amazing LSU defence being pushed as hard as it was against Alabama, so I see them keeping their 100 percent record. We also have Oklahoma @ Oklahoma St. in a massive match up in Bedlam. After they lost to Iowa State, Oklahoma State need a massive game, and one would think, a large win difference to force themselves to number two in the polls, to earn the right to face LSU in the BCS bowl. You get the feeling that thte Crimson Tide will be watching both these games with a huge amount of interest!
NFL this weekend has some cracking match ups. With Green Bay on the road at the Giants, they have a serious test of their unbeaten season. Can Eli be the man to stop them? Personally I don’t think so. At the moment, the way the Packers are playing, I can’t see the Giants getting within 10 points! Their defence as well as their offence are near the the top of their game at the moment and will just be to strong for them. Also what worries me for the Giants is turnovers, as Green Bay lead the league in interceptions and it’s not like Eli doesn’t give a couple of chances a game for them! And then we have the Broncos @ Vikings. Can they be the team that puts a stop on the Tebow express? For me this game depends on whether the Vikings can get some big plays out of their wide receivers, to then get their running game going. If they can get to 21 to 24 points on the board then they have a real chance against the Broncos. The Denver defence has been stellar this season, especially in the 4th quarter, and I would say them more than Tebow will decide this game. As for stopping Tebow, I would make him throw the ball as much as possible. Try and close all the lanes to stop him running and see what his arm can do. I would worry a lot less about that than the damage he does when running at the defence.
Personally can’t wait for Sunday and they are two games that are going to be action packed and fun to watch. Enjoy the weekend and may all your teams win, unless they are playing mine of course!
